Pathetic, perhaps. Can you imagine the conversations when/if he is married to the Lady Rosamund (especially after she has fathomed his nature).

"Please correct me!"
"No."

And, if he remains true to his nature, he could not raise a finger to make her do so.

I foresee a continued income stream for Mrs O'C; and a life with the consequence she so clearly deserves for Lady Rosamund (plus the education she so badly needs from Lady T.)

Will felicity be maximised by such a match? Not for Lady T., I fear.
