Certainly there are gentlemen--of many persuasions but especially that one--who are like to imagine qualities in a woman that just so happen to meet their needs. Which can be offputting even does one incline in a compatible direction.

Of course, perhaps Mrs D- K- would be happy in a relationship conducted upon such lines, but as yet has had no opportunity to explore what her own inclinations might be.

One is most curious. And suspects it better that he spring his preferences upon her *before* any commitment is made on her part...
